EFIP represents the interests of European inland ports before EU institutions, promoting their role as intermodal hubs connecting road, rail, and waterways. The federation works to integrate ports into EU transport and environmental policies. EFIP’s contribution to HMV focuses on the international and networking dimension.

Given that hydrogen-powered waterborne transport is a project pillar, EFIP will actively participate in H2 Ecosystem activities, promoting HYMANTOVALLEY’s results as a model for other European inland ports. Their involvement ensures the Mantua experience gains EU-wide visibility, fostering the creation of sustainable river transport corridors across Europe.
