For this project, IPE tackles the challenge of rail decarbonization by designing a new shunting locomotive.

This vehicle, designed for use in logistics areas and freight yards where line electrification is either impossible or impractical, will be provided with a dedicated internal combustion engine completely hydrogen powered.

This approach extends the benefits of hydrogen to last-mile freight operations.
