As the primary public authority for the Mantua territory, the Province of Mantua serves as the institutional bridge between local municipalities and the Lombardy Region, overseeing vital sectors such as energy planning, transport, and school infrastructure. Recently, it has spearheaded the redevelopment of decommissioned industrial sites, positioning the Valdaro river port as a key European intermodal logistics hub.

Within the HMV project, the Province acts as General Coordinator, ensuring the initiative’s political and administrative alignment. It is responsible for integrating hydrogen as a primary energy carrier into the new Local Energy Plan and facilitating synergy between public and private stakeholders, including RenHive and various universities.

Its mission is to transform Mantua into a decarbonized logistics hub while maintaining financial oversight and ensuring compliance with the obligations undertaken.
